Pastor's Perspective on Philanthropy

For me, as an ordained pastor in the church of Christ Jesus, thanksgiving is philanthropy and philanthropy is thanks giving. It is a sense of being so grateful to God for all God has entrusted us, including the gift of God's Amazing Grace, that we can do nothing else from our overflowing hearts but to give generously so that other children of God may experience the best that life can be.

At the very core of who we are, we know that life itself is a gift from the Creator. We also know, intuitively, that what we do and what we give with our lives is the gift in return to God. That is faithful philanthropy with a capital P!
